Bec, the founder of The Heart of Therapy Centre, has more than 13 years of experience as a therapist and holistic mental health counsellor.

 

With a deep capacity for empathy, Bec is open-minded and non-judgmental.  She loves helping her clients discover their happiness and peace and be their best, truest selves in all aspects of relating and living.​

Bec is currently available to provide telehealth appointments to adults

19 years and over, living in all locations of Australia. 

$170 per session ($185 - sessions outside business hours/ post 5 pm)

Experience and Specialisations

Bec supports clients through a wide range of issues, challenges, heartaches, and losses, from the smaller concerns to the really big stuff.

Specialising in trauma and anxiety-related challenges, she is also experienced in working in a wide range of areas, including:

  •  General anxiety, social anxiety, panic, phobias, OCD

  •  PTSD, complex PTSD

Bec is also an approved specialist counsellor for the Victim Support Scheme with Victim Services NSW.  If you have approval from Victims Services to receive funded counselling, please let us know before booking an appointment. We need 2-3 days before your appointment to complete the paperwork required by Victim Services.

Approach

Always passionate about expanding her knowledge and skills, Bec regularly attends trainings, conferences, and clinical consultations both in Australia and internationally, ensuring she stays at the forefront of trauma and mental health treatments.

While grounded in neurobiological and psychological science and evidence-based therapeutic techniques, Bec recognises that truly transformative therapy requires working with you as a whole person. ​Bec's own lived experience of overcoming trauma inspired her holistic, deep-change approach to therapy.

 

​Drawing on her specialist training, experience, and skills, Bec can help you uncover and resolve the root causes of your unwanted symptoms and challenges. This can involve developing inner resources and skills that can benefit you lifelong and addressing unconscious layers of unresolved past events, early attachment experiences, or trauma stored in the mind and body. Many clients are grateful to discover the positive changes this can make to their lives.

Standard 50 mins  - $170 (after 5pm - $185)

Medicare rebate of 85.20 available

(Out-of-pocket expense - $84.80)

 

Medicare Rebates​

Bec is registered with Medicare to provide focused psychological strategies on a Mental Health Care Plan.  A Medicare rebate of $85.20 per session for up to 10 sessions per year is available for clients referred by a GP on a valid Mental Health Care Plan.
